Thank you!

Now for this month’s haiku…

I’ve spent a lot of my life near the water. It draws me back, sometimes dragging me, it seems, if I’ve been away too long. We have this understanding, you see. If I am respectful, it teaches me, protects me, in ways I’ll never fully understand.

The gentle breezes, the lapping waves, the sparkle of the sun on its rippling surface — these are the sounds of my home, the place where I am the most comfortable. It is here I can best sense the changing of the seasons or an approaching storm — even hear the sounds of a sunrise.

This isn’t some superpower. I have no special arrangement with ethereal spirits. Anyone can do this. Give it a try!

To make it easier, I’ll share this tiny bit with you!
