October Reflections

Haiku for October 2022

Oct 12, 2022

Here in the Northern hemisphere, the chill of October surrounds us as the Hunter’s Moon rises.

The year’s harvest is mostly done; wary animals cross now-barren fields. The fox blends into the fallen leaves, its eyes and ears scanning for any sign of prey.

Above, Andromeda takes her place in the heavens as the Earth shows off its fall fashions.

An autumn scene of trees with orange, yellow, and green leaves reflecting in a pond. The full moon is rising and it, too, reflects in the water.

For those using a screen reader, the haiku is:

A hazy moon arcs
Slowly into the night sky;
The owl and fox hunt
