Haiku — Red Trees

Who hired the exterior decorator?

Morning is one of my favorite times of day. The light is different, if fleeting. As I ventured out, the Earth was still in darkness, but the treetops were glowing red from the rising sun. Certainly a time to take note of the new day and enjoy what beauty the world offers.

Bare winter trees, their trunks and twigs colored orangey-red by the rising sun, stand against a blue sky.

For those using a screen reader, the haiku is:

Fiery red fingers
Painted by the rising sun
Decorate the sky
