Trouble Comes In Threes
Last month I posted the first part of a sci-fi / horror story I’d started years ago asking for feedback on whether it would make a good beginning of a longer story. I’ve gotten a sprinkling of positive feedback here on Medium and elsewhere, so I’m going to continue the tale! I don’t have a fixed timeline on postings for this, but I do have another chapter (or segment or episode) ready. Again, let me know what you think!

Caitlyn’s eyes scanned the troughs between the low waves. There were unusual swirls in the water, subtle ripples that went against the flow of cream-colored foam riding the waves. She wasn’t sure how much time had passed since she waded in, but her body shivered. Did she feel something brush past beneath the surface? The sun was shining now, though it did little to warm her.
