Now you see me, now you don’t?

A photo of a large room, perhaps in an old school, were blurred images of beings are moving.

Quantum Wraith

Weaving between the spaces occupied by others,
I make my way through life,
Invisible, at times, it would seem.

Eyes refuse to see me,
Looking past me, around me,
Through me, into the distance.

I used to become frustrated,
Infuriated, even, when they turned me
Into an ignored, incorporeal entity.

Now I see this as a blessing;
Interacting when I please,
Withering into nothingness when I don’t.

Like a particle springing from ether to existence,
I steal the power of their light
Then fade, when sated, into nothingness.

This is the life I choose-
A quantum wraith stalking the world;
The advantage is mine.
