Here’s a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore

I had a couple of pieces of flash fiction from over a decade ago that weren’t seeing the light of day, so I thought I would resurrect them. Perhaps new eyes will find them amusing. Or not. I’ve made a few changes to the originals, so I’m not being entirely lazy.

I’ve numbered this post as I’m thinking of doing more flash fiction on here, including new stuff. You can always let me know if this stokes your interest or bores you to tears and I will proceed accordingly.

The first was from an old writing challenge called Five-Sentence Fiction. I know some of those who follow me will remember — and have even participated in them. The website is long gone, but the stories remain. The idea was to write complete a story in five sentences based upon a prompt. The prompt for this was: limitless.
