Haiku — Red Sky
Up before sunrise again, I noticed the clouds in the distance had a deep reddish tinge. The first thing that came to mind, of course, was that old saw warning sailors to be cautious due to a coming change in the weather.
Although it has been more than a few years since I last piloted a boat (nothing substantial, to be honest), I remember how impressive the power of the wind was as it moved my craft over the water. And, indeed, blustery conditions were forecast. It would not be a good day to raise sail.
For those using a screen reader, the haiku is:
Red sky in morning;
Should a sailor take warning?
Heed the colors well
