Haiku for November 2021
First, and apology. I’ve been busier than normal, so I’m squeezing this haiku in before the end of the month. It still counts…
As cold air settles over the fields, even the trees begin to feel winter’s promise. Dry leaves rattle against each other, twisting on their stems, marking the seasonal transformation.
The cold, clear days are shorter, the wind more brisk. Even the sun shining from a clear sky fails to bring much warmth.
And the leaves fall…
For those using a screen reader, the haiku is:
Quivering, trembling,
The leaves shiver in the wind;
Winter is coming
