Haiku for December 2021
A time for patience
Over the years, I’ve done a lot of travelling over the local backroads, usually with a camera in hand. I took this photo in Virginia back in 2009 as the sun peaked through the clouds.
When winter finally begins to take hold, there is a certain feel to it all, especially during the evening hours. The sun does its best to coat the trees and hills in a golden glow. The clouds seem to be still, tinted a purplish-gray, making a perfect backdrop to the few dried leaves hanging on the branches.
