Haiku For April 2022

What signs of spring have you seen?

In addition to my National Poetry Month entries, I did promise to keep up with my monthly haiku. This one, of course, is for April. I’m probably a little late in getting this out. Depending upon where you live, many plants are already in bloom or are furiously sprouting leaves. I took this picture a couple of weeks ago right as the sun was rising, but other duties prevented me from completing this post. I’ll try to do better for May!

For those using a screen reader, the haiku is:

From beneath the leaves,
Beauty proudly sprouts anew;
Snowdrops standing tall
