Haiku for a Frozen Night

Maybe this isn’t a breezy summer piece like the song, but the moon has always been an emotional object. On a cold winter’s night it can bring a feeling of wonder, beauty, or stark desolation depending upon the setting. It seems to affect the entire world with its pale light — even the animals take notice. Perhaps you’ll get a bit of a shiver with this one. It is winter after all…
