Haiku For A Cold Morning

Not every haiku has to be serious…

Many haiku are inspired by observing nature; the shape of clouds, the sound of water, the call of a bird. There is much to be learned from by opening your senses, your mind, to the world around you. Indeed, there are practical applications for these actions. This morning, for instance, by closely inspecting the roof of my car I was able to determine that thin pants would not be the best choice for my early journey. Alas, time would not allow me to alter my plans — or clothes; I would truly experience nature first-hand.
