The hard part is hanging it on the wall…

Many are familiar with “found” poetry. That’s where you take a written piece and remove words or rearrange them to form a new piece with a different meaning. Well, this article is about found art. Found art is where you take objects that aren’t usually thought of as art materials and create art with them.

This morning, while taking a brief jaunt outside, I noticed the leaves were starting to fall. It was sprinkling rain which helped them adhere to smooth surfaces — like the hood of a car.

Car Collage #1?

Yes, the car needs washing. As an artist, I just think of this as “adding texture.” And that’s the story I’m sticking to.

Knowing this image might be a little stark for some, I thought I’d stretch my artistic skills and add a splash of color. So, on to the next car…

Poplar on Blue?

The hard part is selling art like this. What should I tell people? “It was only viewed by a little old lady on Sunday.” Or, “Only one owner.” But if you do want to buy any of these pieces, you’ll need gas money. And if you want to hang it on the wall, it’ll take more than those 3M Command Strips to do it.
