A Taxing Haiku

I’m going to start off my serious (well, for me) poetry for National Poetry Month with a haiku — making it easier on myself instead of attempting a long poem. Okay, I admit it. I’m lazy. I hope to do a poem per week during April, and I’ll try to add in a few more if I get time. And I’ll still try to complete my regular monthly haiku post. Don’t expect anything epic, however.

Since this is April, and spring is in full swing, there are a couple of things that come to mind here in the United States…
